Jennifer joined Helius Medical Technologies in 2018 and brings extensive experience in building successful global franchises and developing corporate strategy to drive growth of life science companies. Her experience ranges from leading multi-billion dollar businesses at large health care companies to developing initial commercialization and launch plans for biotech start-ups. In every role, Jennifer's passion is to improve the health and well-being of patients and their caregivers, by understanding their needs and developing innovative products and services to address them.
Prior to joining Helius, Jennifer was Vice President at Inovio, a clinical stage biotech that is applying its combination drug/device platform to develop immunotherapies to prevent and treat cancer and infectious disease. At Inovio, Jennifer headed commercial, launch, and new product strategy and was instrumental in prioritizing the portfolio of commercial assets and developing the lead candidate’s go-to-market strategy. Before joining Inovio in 2013, Jennifer was Vice-President of marketing at Boehringer Ingelheim, where she directed strategy execution, brand planning, and sales for the company’s flagship cardiovascular brand. Prior to this, Jennifer served for 17 years at Merck & Co., Inc., where she held numerous marketing leadership positions in Merck’s cardiovascular, oncology, women’s health, and specialty franchises. Jennifer has led multiple product launches and has held P&L responsibility for three blockbuster brands. She began her career as a strategy consultant with Bain & Company and has held international marketing positions at Procter & Gamble in Brussels and Elizabeth Arden in Paris.
Jennifer earned a B.A. in International Studies and English from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. and M.A. in Marketing and International Studies from the Wharton School and Lauder H. Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.
